IT'S NOT JUST MacBooks suffering from borkage, as owners of Apple's newest iPad Pro models are complaining of screen stuttering issues.
MacRumours reports that a growing number of iPad Pro users, mainly those who own newer 2017 and 2018 models, are taking to the internet to moan that their expensive Apple tablet is refusing to register touch gestures, stutters when scrolling and misses keystrokes.
"I bought a 12.9in iPad Pro 2017 around six months ago and since day one I've had trouble with the screen not responding to touch intermittently. It will randomly stop responding to my touch for anywhere between 1 and 30 seconds before coming back," reads one complaint on a 10-page megathread over on Apple's Support Forum.
Another miffed iPad user whined: "I purchased my 12.9 iPad Pro in Dec 2018 and had intermittent touchscreen response issues from day one. I did all the resets/reloads, removed the cover and it still had the issue. I sent it in for repair last week and got a note that Apple could not find any problems."
It's unclear what's causing the borkage, though some claim issues with the 2017 began with the release of iOS 11.3 in March 2018. Others have noticed that the stuttering glitch rears its head on the 2018 models when the Apple Pencil 2 is attached to the iPad.
Apple, naturally, hasn't commented on the borkage, but some users say the firm has replaced their borked iPad.
The firm did speak out last week though, admitting that the butterfly keyboard mechanism on its most recent MacBook models is still suffering from the dust-related issue that affected its second-gen keyboard.
"We are aware that a small number of users are having issues with their third-generation butterfly keyboard and for that we are sorry," an Apple spokesman said in a statement. µ
