MICROSOFT FOUNDER Bill Gates is marking Christmas in his own unique way once again by taking part in Reddit's annual Secret Santa, and going totally overboard on the generosity.
A Redditor by the name of Aerrix - in reality a 30 year-old called Alicia, had said in her profile that she into "all things Internet and Video Games" listing Legend of Zelda, Mario (and Nintendo in general), Little Mermaid, Harry Potter and League of Legends among her likes. Her profile also shows her with a small Jack Russell.
Mr Gates, who has taken part in the holiday 'tradition' of Reddit Secret Santa since 2013, obliged, and went a little bit over budget.
According to local news, gifts included an Xbox One (Minecraft Edition), a NES Classic, Zelda mittens for her and a matching set for her dog, a sword, and a Zelda picture frame, with her picture and Bill Gates photoshopped together inside.
In a "u is wiv da angles now" spelling-free excite, she told Reddit Gifts
"Thank you SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO much Mr. Gates! I'll never EVAR forget."
Mr Gates had done a bit of cyber-stalking of her old posts (with the best of intentions) and found out that she has a love of Cajun cooking and popped a cookbook in with a handwritten note.
Gates had clearly put a lot of thought into what to include, which even added in a selection of video games for the new Xbox - including Tomb Raider and Halo 5 Guardians, and a year's Gold Membership to Xbox Live.
As if all that wasn't enough, Mr Gates also made a donation to code.org in order to encourage more kids to learn to code.
Mr Gates - we salute you and your holiday cheer. µ
