TAIPEI: DELL ANNOUNCED an addition to its Inspiron line at Computex on Monday, the Inspiron 11 3000 Series, an 11in laptop with a 360 degree hinge design similar to that of the Lenovo Ideapad Yoga.
The hinged design means that users can flip the device between laptop, easel, tent, and tablet configurations. Though detailed specifications for the Inspiron 2-in-1 devices are so far thin on the ground, we know that the 11in version has 500GB storage capacity and will have up to eight hours of battery life. It will start at $449 and increase in price depending on configuration.
Dell doesn't usually extend its presence to launch devices at the Taipei tradeshow, but in an attempt to penetrate the Asian market the company didn't hold back in announcing the Inspiron 11 2-in-1 laptop-tablet alongside two Android tablets, the Venue 7 and Venue 8, and a 20in all-in-one (AIO) desktop, the Inspiron 20 3000 Series. µ
