TAIWANESE ELECTRONICS FIRM Gigabyte has launched what it claims is "the lightest 15in gaming laptop in the world", the P35K.
Powered by an Intel Haswell Core i7 processor, the P35K is geared towards gamers and 3D designers on the move, weighing 2.16kg and measuring 21mm thin.
What makes the P35K powerful enough to warrant its gaming title is its Nvidia Geforce GTX 765M graphics card with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM, which the firm claims can exceed a 3DMark advantage score of P17,800 due to its "Ultra Boost" overclocking technology.
The P35K has a 15in 1920x1080 resolution HD 1080p IPS wide angle anti-glare display, which Gigabyte said is good for viewing for long hours without eye strain. It also features an automatic light sensing backlit keyboard that aids typing in dark conditions.
"Designed with massive storage system and a hot swappable storage bay, the P35K is able to support up to two 512GB mSATA SSD and two 1TB HDD, providing 1000MBps and 850MBps read/write rate for gamers with mSATA SSD super RAID 0 technology supported," Gigabyte said.
The P35K has a sandblasted aluminium matte finish and went on sale on Monday for a starting price of £1,199.99. µ
