TAIWANESE PHONE MAKER HTC took the wraps off a raft of HTC One handset series accessories today, and we got some hands-on time with the devices ahead of the announcement.
The assemblage of accessories comprises of the Boomsound speaker dock, a Fetch keyring, and the One Mini+ smartphone remote control.
The Boomsound speaker dock is a Bluetooth enabled subwoofer with a dedicated amplifier. It can be paired only with HTC phones with dual front facing speakers, as it works along with the speakers' higher frequency response profile to deliver a richer and deeper sound.
Launched alongside the Boomsound is a keyring called Fetch, which attaches to your keyring to help find lost or stolen phones, and works by pressing a button that activates the HTC phone's ringtone as long as the phone is within a 15 metre radius of the Fetch device.
The third accessory that HTC unveiled is a remote control for the HTC One Mini, named the HTC Mini+. This little device acts as a Bluetooth headset. It lets you take and place calls using your smartphone's connection after pairing through NFC or Bluetooth.
HTC said that its HTC One accessories will be available from mid-October. µ
