SOFTWARE HOUSE Microsoft has announced the launch titles for its Windows 8 Xbox app, confirming games from Microsoft Studios, Rovio, Miniclip, Gameloft, ZeptoLab, Glu Mobile and Halfbrick Studios.
The company unveiled the new Windows 8 Xbox app's 29 strong launch line-up on Friday. The list includes popular Xbox games like Gunstringer, Fruit Ninja, Monster Island, Angry Birds and Kinectimals Unleashed.
"The first wave of our portfolio will bring you many of the games you already know and love, and will include 29 titles from Microsoft Studios, some of which will be exclusive to Windows 8," read Microsoft's statement.
The Xbox app was confirmed earlier in the year as one of many services set to appear on Microsoft's new operating system. The app will reportedly contain a games store and an achievements system similar to the ones seen on Microsoft's current Xbox 360 games console.
Windows 8's Xbox app will initially launch alongside the operating system on 26 October, with ongoing game releases scheduled throughout the holiday season. µ
