SMASH HIT PHONE GAME Angry Birds will swoop from mobiles to consoles this year with Angry Birds Trilogy, a collector's edition of the first three titles for the Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) and Nintendo 3DS.
There have been rumours of such an edition for some time now, but makers of the game Rovio announced it today on the Angry Birds Twitter page in a tweet that read, "A sneak peek of what to expect from #AngryBirdsTrilogy: http://twitpic.com/a6cejg - coming for Xbox 360, PS3 & 3DS".
The tweet was also accompanied by a screenshot of the upcoming console game showing the hostile feathery friends in action.
The game is expected to have all of the same elements as its mobile counterpart but will come as a package including the original Angry Birds alongside sequels Seasons and Rio.
So far, we haven't heard any word on launch dates from Rovio, but we do know it will arrive in time for Christmas supporting Xbox 360 Kinect and Sony PlayStation Move motion activated capabilities.
Rovio also announced that its Angry Birds follow-up title Amazing Alex is available to download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play store from today. µ
