Ed Miliband shames himself on Twitter
Labour leader needs an 'O' please Bob
ANOTHER DAY, AND ANOTHER POLITICAL GAFFE has appeared on Twitter.
Yesterday it was Diane Abbot, today it is Ed Miliband, who presumably thought it would be sensible to tweet his sadness about the death of television presenter Bob Holness, who used to present a show called Blockbusters.
Perhaps it was the sympathy clouding his vision, or perhaps he was just in a hurry. Nonetheless Miliband managed to screw up a 140 character message.
"Sad to hear that Bob Holness has died. A generation will remember him fondly from Blackbusters," he wrote, causing a generation to say, "Eh, Blackbusters?".
Ed either realised his mistake or discovered why so many people were retweeting his message, because very shortly thereafter a fresh message appeared in its place with an 'O' where an 'A' once was.

Yesterday it was Diane Abott that was making a mess of things on Twitter, and her comment, "white people love playing divide and rule," was also removed once people noticed it and started talking about it.
She later said that it was taken out of context and that a bigger explanation would be too large for the confines of Twitter.
Mr Holness died peacefully in his sleep early this morning aged 83. We remember him and Blockbusters fondly. µ
