HACKERS WITH A CONSCIENCE Lulzsec and Anonymous are preparing a massive haul of purloined documents for our viewing pleasure.
However not all parties will enjoy the releases, which will include emails from the Sun newspaper as well as information about Siemens SCADA industrial software, federal contractors and banks.
A tweet from Anonymousabu, a key member by our estimations, posted this morning says that the group is very busy preparing the release.
"We are working on: 4GB of Sun mails, SCADA, Royal Family dumps, Federal Contractors (4), Foreign banks (2) and others. Busy, busy, busy", he tweeted.
It is possibly the first of these that is the most interesting. The Sun newspaper, which was dominated by Lulzsec earlier this week with a prank news story and then a re-direct to its Twitter feed, could be implicated in the phone hacking scandal that is currently making headlines.
A hearing in the House of Commons dragged little information from the main parties involved, which included Rupert Murdoch and Rebekah Brooks, but perhaps some email taken without the organisations knowing could shed a little more light on the subject.
Anonymousabu later added during a somewhat heated Twitter debate with a technology journalist at The Guardian, "I have 4GB of sun mails that may explode this entire case".
This is not to say of course that the other topics covered in the tweet are not just as explosive, if, in the case of SCADA systems, you will excuse the pun. µ
