WINDOWS 95 made its mark on the world as Microsoft’s first mainstream OS that demonstrated how computing can be used by everyone, not just tech engineers and other smart alecs.
There are more than a few of us who grew up with a PC running the now venerable operating system, and we’ve dug up six things that will make you all misty eyed if you’ve ever prised open a jewel case containing a shiny copy of Windows 95.

It was always a bit odd that a band that traded mostly on emo and alt rock sensibilities would sell out and join Uncle Bill's gravy train. Oh well, it's a decent song with a nice Spike Jonze video and yours for free when streaming such a thing would have taken hours.
Media-wise, the disk included Edie Brickell's Good Times and a trailer for Michael Caton-Jones' forgotten (and pretty bad) Scottish history flick Rob Roy starring Liam Neeson and Jessica Lange.
