The Isle of Man Government wanted to save money and boost services by moving its infrastructure-including 1,000 applications-to a hybrid cloud environment.
It opted for the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system with Hyper-V technology and the Microsoft System Centre suite to improve manageability. This has increased system performance eight-fold, boosted storage utilisation by 40 per cent with no extra hardware, and reduced operating costs by 15 per cent.
