iPhone 5C video review

Apple's colourful new smartphone impresses but we're still not sold on that price
Fri Sep 27 2013, 09:00

HARDWARE DESIGNER Apple's iPhone 5C has been met with criticism since its launch earlier this month, with commenters slamming the device as "toy-like" and "too expensive".

Although we're still not sold on the handset's price, with the iPhone 5C retailing for just £90 less than the flagship iPhone 5S, we don't agree with claims that the smartphone is "toy-like," as its colourful casing has proven to be rugged and sits comfortably in the hand.

Beyond the phone's design it's not much different than last year's iPhone 5, although it does run Apple's iOS 7 mobile operating system out of the box, giving it new features like Control Centre and Airdrop support.

Much like the iPhone 5 however, the iPhone 5C features a 4in Retina display, an 8MP rear-facing camera and all of the usual connectivity options - including support for 4G LTE.
