KOREAN PHONE MAKER Samsung's Galaxy S4 Zoom is half smartphone, half camera, and challenges the Nokia Lumia 1020 for the cameraphone crown.
As you'd expect from a 16MP sensor, optical zoom and LED flash, the camera on the Galaxy S4 Zoom performs well, and its image quality is among the best available on a smartphone. However, it struggled to perform as well as the Nokia Lumia 925 in low light, and the camera component on the rear does make the handset difficult to hold.
Beyond the camera component, the Galaxy S4 Zoom offers an experience similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. It features a 4.3in 540x950 Super AMOLED screen along with Google's Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system and Samsung's Touchwiz user interface. It is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, and this makes it slightly slower than the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4.
Other specifications and features include 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card, a 2,330mAh battery and all of the usual connectivity options.
