LAS VEGAS: CHINES PHONE MAKER Huawei silently announced its debut Windows Phone handset at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, named the Huawei Ascend W1.
The device will arrive in the UK later this year on the O2 network, and is expected to be an affordable smartphone despite there being no word on pricing yet. That's apparent from the handset's specifications, which include a 4in WVGA touchscreen, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and a 5MP rear-facing camera.
However, it runs the latest version of Microsoft's mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8, giving it all of the latest Windows Phone features.
