TABLETS ARE ALL THE RAGE this year so we have pitted the tablet pioneer, Apple's Ipad 2, up against HP's newcomer, the Touchpad.
From a distance the two tablets look almost alike with only subtle differences in design. Their hardware specifications are similar, too, and the price points are identical for equivalent models.
However once turned on, the rival devices work quite differently with their operating systems. With the Touchpad, HP has brought WebOS to market as an alternative to Apple's IOS and Google's Android. WebOS has got its own style and its focus is on multitasking.
If you're looking for an alternative to the fruit themed firm's tablet, then the HP Touchpad is an attractive option, but ultimately we think the Ipad 2 is still the better tablet, at least so far. µ
