KOREAN CONGLOMERATE Samsung has got the first Chromebook into our hands for appraisal. The small and low-powered machine is aimed at people with their heads and data in the clouds.
If you are hoping the £400 laptop will replace your existing netbook, we'd advise you to check the 3G coverage in your area quite carefully. Without either mobile data or WiFi this machine is useless for anything except keeping a door propped open in the warm weather.
But with that said, there's plenty of good stuff too. A nice keyboard, extrodinary battery life and a sleek design all help to make the price tag a little easier to swallow. µ
