USB MEMORY STICKS are pretty much ubiquitous these days, but it came as a pleasant surprise when a 4GB TwinMOS stick dropped onto the doormat yesterday, because the thing’s just so damned tiny.
Weighing in at 1.5 grammes and less than 3mm thick, the USB2 B1 series starts at £8 for the 512MB model, going up to a very reasonable £36 for the current top of the range 4GB one (there’s an 8GB version coming soon, says the company). There’s also a 1GB version at £14 and a 2GB one for £20.
The sticks come with a carrying chain which serves the very useful purpose of making the things easier to find and are available in a range of colours including pink. There’s not much to say about performance ? it just works. The only potential downside would be dropping it and losing it down the cracks between the floorboards.
This is one of the cutest widgets I’ve played with recently and I guarantee that when you see it, you will want one.

As IT admin I wouldn't use anything other than a SanDisk Cruzer 4GB stick. It looks smart and goes like a bomb.

I have TakeMS SlimLine 2GB for 22.50 Euros, only difference is that mine is black.
KingMax's Super Sticks have been on the Canadian market for at least 9 months, albeit the 4Gb is a recent addition.

With Vista's ReadyBoost (assuming they get all Sleep and Hibernate bugs worked out), there will be a market for 4GB USB sticks that will fit FLUSH into a laptop's USB port and remain there more-or-less forever.

Obviously there might have to be the tiniest possible handle or catch so that they could be hauled out at some point, but it would be nice to 'ReadyBoost' (verb) my laptop permanently without having anything hanging out.

I hereby place this concept into the public domain worldwide.
