EX-APPLE EMPLOYEE Sam Sung is selling his last remaining business card on eBay, which has already seen bids of more than $80,000.
While it's hard to believe that Apple hired an employee with the same name as its major rival, it indeed did happen, with Sam Sung having worked at Apple's Vancouver store in Canada.
Sung no longer works for Apple, and has decided to sell his last remaining business card, along with his iconic blue t-shirt and ID badge, on eBay, an auction that at the time of writing has attracted bids of over $80,000. What's more, the auction still has seven days remaining.
While we'd usually mock those 113 bidders fighting each other for a framed piece of cardboard, the money raised won't go to Sung, with the ex-Apple staffer instead donating the amount raised to the charity Children's Wish.
On the eBay listing Mr Sung explained, "I came across one of my old business cards the other day when it fell out of a book.
"So, with a view to raising money for a very deserving charity, I'm auctioning the only Apple Sam Sung business card I have left and I'm going to donate all of the proceeds minus eBay fees to Children's Wish.
"I had a great time working for Apple and would recommend it to anyone. I hope my old business card will go to another fellow Apple enthusiast with a sense of humour and the desire to help raise some money for a good cause."
Sung added that the business card has "no major folds, bent or scratches", so if you have more money than sense, you'd be a fool not to bid. µ
