THE FLAGSHIP Nokia Lumia 930 has finally been given a release date, with the handset set to arrive in the UK on 17 July.
At an event in London on Wednesday attended by The INQUIRER, Nokia finally revealed the handset's release date, saying that the Lumia 930 will arrive in the UK in 10 days on 17 July.
While it wouldn't give a firm price, Nokia said that the Lumia 930 will be available from around £33 a month, although it said that there is no word on SIM-free pricing yet. However, several retailers are already offering the handset unlocked.
It will be available in orange, green and black models at most retailers, the firm said, adding that Phones 4u will have an exclusive on the white model.
Those who buy the Lumia 930 within the first two weeks will receive a launch pack worth £130, which includes a portable wireless charger, a portable wireless speaker and a £20 voucher that can be spent at the Windows Store.
What's more, Nokia announced that all Lumia 930 buyers will receive a wireless charger included in the box, with the firm looking to introduce the "unknown" technology to more smartphone users across the UK.
As well as support for wireless charging, the Nokia Lumia 930 ships with Microsoft's Windows Phone 8.1 mobile operating system onboard, following in the footsteps of the Lumia 630. As Nokia's latest flagship smartphone, it also boasts a a 5in HD 1080p touchscreen, powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.
There's a 20MP rear-facing Pureview camera, which - while not as impressive as the Nokia Lumia 1020's 41MP snapper - features Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stablisation and the ability to shoot HD 1080p video, and there's also a 1.2MP camera on the front of the handset. Beyond that, the Nokia Lumia 930 features Bluetooth 4.0, LTE support and a 2,420mAh battery.
