SAMSUNG'S RUMOURED Galaxy S5 Mini has had its specifications leaked online, revealing almost all there is to know about the pint-sized smartphone.
Much like last year's Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, the Galaxy S5 Mini will be a downsized version of its flagship counterpart, complete with a lower price.
Thanks to Sammobile, we know pretty much all there is to know about the handset's specifications. According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will have a 4.5in HD 720p resolution AMOLED screen, which if true will be a big improvement on the Galaxy S4 Mini's 4.3in 540x960 resolution display.
Like the flagship Galaxy S5, the handset will run Google's Android 4.4 Kitkat mobile operating system out of the box, and likely will feature the same software touches found on its bigger brother, such as Samsung's updated S Health app and S Voice. Unlike the Galaxy S5 however, there's no mention or a built-in heart rate monitor, nor an included fingerprint sensor.
There will be 1.5GB of RAM and a quad-core Qualcomm processor under the bonnet, likely a Snapdragon 400 chip, although Sammobile admits it doesn't have the full details on this yet.
If the leak if to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will also feature dual 8MP and 2MP cameras, 16GB of internal storage, an IR blaster and a 2,100mAh battery. It's also expected to be IP67 certified, meaning that it will be resistant against dust and water, just like the Samsung Galaxy S5. It's not clear yet whether it will be available in the same colour options.
There are no release date details available yet, but the report says the handset likely will make its debut in June. µ
