SAMSUNG'S WEARABLE Gear Fit and Gear Neo 2 smartwatches are now available in the UK, ahead of the firm's release of the Galaxy S5 smartphone.

That's courtesy of UK retailer Unlocked Mobiles, which got in touch on Tuesday to tell us that it now has stock of both the Samsung Gear Fit and Samsung Gear Neo 2 smartwatch. The online shop has only the black models in stock at present, but it told us that more colours will launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy S5 later this month.

If you're not holding out for an orange wrist strap, the Samsung Gear Fit and Gear Neo 2 can be ordered from Unlocked Mobiles now, with both priced at £179.98.

That's cheaper than UK operator Three will soon be offering, with the network having announced last month that it will offer both wearables for £199.

Both the Samsung Gear Fit and Gear Neo 2 were unveiled at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The Gear Fit is the "world's first" curved AMOLED wearable device, touting a 1.84in 432x128 resolution display, and is focused all around fitness, boasting a built-in pedometer, heart rate monitor, sleep monitor and stopwatch. The Samsung Gear Fit arrives with IP67 certification, making it resistant to dust and water. The device also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 LE to hook up to a Galaxy smartphone and features a 210mAh battery.

The Samsung Gear Fit Neo is a cheaper alternative to the Samsung Gear 2 that was also unveiled at MWC. It has a 1.63in AMOLED display, a dual-core 1GHz processor and Samsung's Tizen operating system, which the company recently opened up to developers. µ
