THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 is now available to pre-order, with handsets set to launch on 11 April.
We already knew that the phone went up for pre-order at the Samsung store and various other outlets like Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u at midnight Friday.
EE announced its Galaxy S5 pricing on Friday, and put the handset up for pre-order via EE stores and its website with a range of 4G and 3G pricing plans available.
The operator is recommending a £37.99 per month plan with a £59.99 upfront cost. Those ordering this before 11 April get 4GB instead of 2GB monthly data for the duration of their contract.
However, EE isn't committing to the 11 April release date, only offering delivery within 28 days via its website, which might mean you’re waiting until 25 April for your Galaxy S5 on EE.
Hot on the heels of the pre-order launch, Vodafone also revealed its pricing plans for the next generation Samsung flagship on Friday 28 March.
The Galaxy S5 will be available for free from £37 per month with 1GB of data per month - but the catch here is that you'll need to trade in a previous Samsung Galaxy phone. The cheapest option otherwise is £34 per month but you'll only get 250MB of data per month.
If you want a speedier option, a 4G package is on offer from £47 per month with a one-off £19 payment. This includes unlimited calls, texts and 3GB of data, as well as access to either Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV. You can get the same deal at £42 per month if you trade in an old Galaxy handset.
Three had already revealed its pay monthly pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S5. The operator will offer the 16GB Galaxy S5 for £69 on four different tariffs, including £38 including 600 minutes and 2GB data, and a £44 contract with unlimited minutes and all you can eat data.
At Phones 4u, pricing is free from £47 a month on 4G, and £569.95 SIM-free. Over at Carphone Warehouse, it's offering the 16GB Galaxy S5 at £579.95 SIM-free.
The white and black models are set to be with you on 11 April from both websites, but if you want a blue Galaxy S5 you'll need to wait until 22 April, or for the swanky gold version until 20 May.
Samsung is offering more premium pricing for its premium handset, with the white, black and blue models available to pre-order online for £649 and set to ship on 10 April. The gold model is not presently available from the Samsung store.
The latest addition to the Galaxy range has a fingerprint scanner, faster processor, 16MP rear-facing camera, 5.1in display and built-in physical fitness features including a heart rate monitor. µ
