Also suggests that Touchwiz will see an iOS 7-style redesign

KOREAN PHONE MAKER Samsung has released a teaser image for its upcoming Galaxy S5 unveiling that hints at incoming fitness and privacy features along with a refreshed design for Touchwiz.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S during its Unpacked 5 event at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and the firm has released another teaser image, which doubles as an invitation to its Youtube live stream and suggests that our suspicions are indeed correct.

Samsung Unpacked 5 teaser hints at Touchwiz redesign on the Galaxy S5

Posted on Twitter by Samsung Mobile's global channel, the image shows off a set of icons that apparently will appear in the next version of Samsung's Touchwiz user interface (UI) expected to debut on the Galaxy S5.

If this is a nod at a refreshed design of Touchwiz, it sees Samsung again following in the footsteps of its archrival Apple, with the icons showcasing an iOS 7 style flat design that lacks the texture of Samsung's present custom UI.

The image also hints that Samsung will introduce new apps with the Galaxy S5, revealing that the firm's next flagship smartphone will focus on fitness and privacy, and that Samsung could be about to step up its mobile security features in the wake of ongoing surveillance revelations.

The invitation doesn't give much else away, but given the number of rumours we've already seen surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S5, we already know pretty much everything about the incoming smartphone.

If these rumours are true, expect to see two versions of the smartphone - a premium, metal version, and a cheaper, plastic model. These will tout 5in 2K resolution HD 1080p displays and will feature Google's Android 4.4 Kitkat mobile operating system.

The premium model reportedly will also have a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 32GB of internal storage and 4G LTE, while the more affordable model will have an octo-core 1.5GHz Exynos 6 processor and 16GB of internal storage. Check out our roundup of everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S5.

We'll be at Samsung's press conference at this year's MWC, so check back then for all the latest. µ
