GAME DEVELOPER Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) has gone up for pre-order and supposedly will start shipping on 31 March.
There are reports that GTA 5 went up for pre-order at Amazon Germany, but that listing has since been removed.
However, we've spotted the game up for pre-order at UK retailer Gameholds.com, which is offering the PC version of GTA 5 for £42.11. It also lists a release date, claiming that the title will start shipping for PC gamers on 31 March.
Rockstar has yet to announce that a PC version of GTA 5 is in the works, so this release date is still to be confirmed.
The last we heard, Rockstar planned to release a PC version of GTA 5 sometime this year, good news for fans of the game, over 660,000 of whom signed a petition to bring GTA 5 to the PC. Sources said to have knowledge of Rockstar's plans let slip that GTA 5 for the PC would be released in the "first three months of 2014", which tends to support the rumoured 31 March release date.
At the time, Rockstar said, "The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release.
"We don't have anything to share about the possibility of a [next generation] or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now."
Rockstar is yet to comment on the latest rumours. µ
