LAS VEGAS: CURVED SCREEN TECHNOLOGY has been a growing trend in the technology industry that was started by Korean technology heavyweights Samsung and LG in 2012, when both firms announced plans to release curved smartphones and TVs.
However, to date, despite releasing products in certain Asian territories, neither firm has chosen to roll out devices with curved screens in the UK. At CES this all changed, with UK 4G mobile network operator EE announcing plans to release the LG G Flex this year.
This is definitely a positive development, as aside from its curved screen the G Flex features some pretty impressive technical specifications. Chief among these are its quad-core 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 13MP rear-facing camera.
There is no word on how much the LG G Flex will cost or when it will arrive in the UK. µ
