WORKERS at the UK Department for Transport (DfT) have been caught ignoring the nanny state advice of the Prime Minister and indulging themselves with top shelf adult content at work.

The Mirror newspaper reported a flurry of booby browsing that was revealed through a series of freedom of information (FoI) requests.

These FoI requests found that staffers stopped considering transport, and its many issues, for just long enough to visit pages like Playboy, Only Babes, Big Boobs in Tight Blouses and Perfect Asians. Of these the former was the most popular and, as has often been said, a lot of men only read it for the articles.

All in there were some 47 incidents of viewing pictures of naked women, and according to the DfT it does have systems in place to deal with this issue.

"The department has measures in place to prevent accidental or unintentional access to unauthorised sites, such as pornographic sites," said a spokesperson.

Still, appalled by the news is Taxpayers' Alliance, and in a comment to the Mirror its chief, Robert Oxley said that DfT workers should have different priorities.

"Departments must ensure those misusing taxpayers' resources are given the heave-ho," he said. "Civil servants should worry more about the burden of rising rail fares."

Infamously, Prime Minister David Cameron rather fancies an opt-in system for punters that want to peruse pornographic webpages.

Already being trialed by some firms, these filters have been shown to have good intentions, but very little accuracy. µ
