GAMES CONSOLE MAKER Microsoft is taking the Xbox One console on the road in the weeks running up to its release.
The hardware will go on sale on 22 November with a price tag that will make some people say, "Well, it is Christmas."
From tomorrow, Tuesday 1 October, Microsoft is wheeling the Xbox One around and showing people what they can expect for their investment.
Seventy-five cities across the globe are on the Microsoft games console's itinerary, and in the UK these include Dublin, Glasgow and London. If you want to spread your wings a bit further and take in the games console in Germany or France, then you should go to Berlin, Paris, Stuttgart or Strasbourg.
The US and Canada are the most widely served regions and punters there will not have to go far to see the Xbox One in all its Microsoft glory. Including Canada, there are 25 dates on the Xbox One North American tour.
Microsoft said that this is a tour you should not miss. "The 'Area One' tour will let people in the US, Canada and Europe get hands-on with the Xbox One lineup of blockbuster games through a series of experiential events, while the Xbox One 'Test Drive' will see Xbox hitting the road like never before to give people hands-on gameplay in unexpected places," it said.
"'Area One' will bring a large traveling tour to many markets around the world, including Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Vienna, Paris and Berlin. Xbox fans will be among the first to get their hands on the upcoming blockbuster games coming to Xbox One, including hotly anticipated titles like Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, Max: Curse of the Brotherhood, and Lococycle."
Space is limited and you have to be 18 years and older to attend. Of course Microsoft encourages punters to apply for tickets from the Xbox site as soon as possible.
In London the Xbox One turns up on 21 November, 24 hours before its release. It will linger at its so far undisclosed location until 24 November. µ
