ONLINE RETAIL GIANT Amazon apparently will launch an updated version of its Kindle Fire tablet any day now, with an image of the device leaking on Twitter and the current model getting a £30 price cut.
The leak comes via Evleaks, which has posted a legitimate looking press image of the new device.

The source hasn't revealed any further details about the iPad Mini rival, but previous leaks have suggested that will feature an upgraded 7in 1280x800 display. From the image we can see that the tablet won't have a front-facing camera, which hints that it's likely to be a competitively priced device, and we can also see that the tablet will run Amazon's heavily customised Android user interface, which offers shortcuts to the retailer's main services.
Adding weight to this leak, Amazon has slashed the price of its present Kindle Fire tablet from £129 to £99.
Alongside the new Amazon Kindle Fire, the firm is expected to launch two additional tablets - a second generation Kindle Fire HD and a refreshed Kindle Fire 8.9. These devices are rumoured to have 1920x1200 and 2540x1600 displays, respectively. We can also expect the new tablets to debut a new design from Amazon, with the new Kindles reportedly featuring a more "chiseled" design than last year's models.
Amazon has yet to comment on the rumours, but speculation has suggested that the new devices will appear before the month is out. µ
