KOREAN PHONE MAKER LG's flagship G2 smartphone has gone up for pre-order at Phones 4U ahead of its UK release on 1 October.
Phones 4U is offering the LG G2 on a number of Vodafone tariffs, the cheapest coming in at £37 a month. This two year long contract comes with unlimited texts and minutes and 1GB of monthly data, with the retailer also chucking in a free LG Pocket Printer worth £130.
For those who don't want to dedicated themselves to the LG G2 for 24 months, the handset is also available to pre-order SIM-free from Clove. The retailer has priced the handset at £468, and despite Phones 4U promising to ship in October, it's claiming that the LG G2 will start shipping later this month.
The LG G2 was unveiled in New York last month, and sees the firm upping its specifications to challenge Samsung and Sony. The handset features a 5.2in HD 1080p HD edge to edge screen, powered by a nippy quad-core 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM and Google's Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system.
However the most interesting of the LG G2's features is its physical keys, with the Standby button and Volume rocker placed on the rear of the handset. According to LG, this will make the keys much more natural to use and should result in fewer dropped smartphones.
The LG G2 also features LG's custom Android user interface with Samsung style software tweaks, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, a 2.1MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE support and a 3,000mAh battery. It will be available in both black and white models at launch. µ
