BERLIN: TAIWANESE COMPUTER MAKER Acer announced its second generation 'phablet' device ahead of IFA on Monday, so while we scurried around the show floor today we managed to get a hands-on with the huge device at the Acer booth.
The Acer Liquid S2 is the world's first smartphone capable of shooting 4K video with its 13MP rear-facing camera. The camera also boasts a F2.2 28mm lens, a BSI sensor and an LED ring flash, and is paired with a 2MP wide-angle front-facing camera.
Beyond its high-end camera functionality, the Acer Liquid S2 is undoubtedly the firm's highest specification smartphone device to date. Improving on the Acer Liquid S1, it has a 6in 1920x1080 resolution full HD 1080p touchscreen, a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and Google's Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system. µ
