TOY SHOP Toys R Us seems to have revealed the release dates of the Xbox One and Sony Playstation 4 (PS4) games consoles.
If the listings at Toys R Us are correct, the Xbox One will start shipping on 29 November - one day earlier than Zavvi claimed - with the PS4 set to follow two weeks later on 13 December. If this PS4 release date is correct we can imagine some panicked mums and dads when the console hasn't arrived just days before Christmas.
Toys R Us hinted that these dates could change though, saying in its listing that the release dates and pricing could change at any time.
Microsoft's Xbox One games console is more expensive than its Sony rival, with Toys R Us asking £419.99, while Sony's PS4 can be picked up for £339.99.
As of yesterday we also know how much the controllers for each console will cost, and the Xbox again is more expensive. Amazon is offering Xbox One controllers for £89.99, and PS4 controllers for £54.99.
Despite being £80 more expensive than the PS4 and its controllers being pricier, Microsoft's Xbox One is expected to outsell Sony's PS4 this Christmas. That's according to Currys and PC World, which said that the Xbox One topped its annual top 10 list of likely best selling consumer technology Christmas gifts, with the PS4 in second place.
However, gambling firm Paddy Power suggested otherwise, having said earlier this year that the PS4 is likely to be the best seller. µ
