FRENCH GAMES FIRM Ubisoft has released a trailer video for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.
The game trailer focuses on the water based action in the title and the sort of opponents, animal and human, that you might be expected to encounter. Our takeaway is brace yourself for sharks and whales, sea fog, cannons and long lonely nights at sea.
In Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag you swap revolutionary America for the 18th century West Indies, a pirate's life and the sort of abandoned morality that entails.
"Set sail besides Edward Kenway and his devoted crew and witness the merciless pirate life of the 18th century," says the Ubisoft caption under the Youtube video trailer. "Defy the high seas, fight your enemies in epic battles and explore the Caribbean."
Edward is seen scaling the rigging and boarding other ships. Once there he doesn't stand for niceties and immediately pulls out his sword and does his death dance.
"With the new hero and new setting we are creating the boldest and most unique Assassin's Creed game yet, while still respecting the pillars of the franchise that have made it such a fan favorite," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot when he announced the title earlier this year.
"[Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag] is based on a true, harsh and exciting part of a legendary era and will thrill longtime fans and newcomers alike."
We've had a look at the game, and we quite fancy having another go at it. According to Ubisoft Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is an open world with more than 50 navigable locations. µ
