GAMES HOUSE 343 Industries will release fresh content for Halo 4 next month, including maps and armour packs.
The Champions Bundle will be out on 20 August and bring three DLC packs called the Bullseye Pack, Infinity Armour Pack and Steel Skin Pack, and a dozen and a half new in-game items.
The bundle costs 800 Microsoft points, which is under a tenner. The three included packs offer maps and a gravball game called Ricochet, new armour, and an "elaborate steampunk style" for weapons skin design and customisation.
If you don't want to spring for the lot, you can get the maps and the game type called the Bullseye set for 480 points and Infinity and Steel Skin for 240 points each. The Champions Bundle grants access to some extra content, like an armour mod called Resistor Tactical for a limited time.
This mod sounds cool, and will let players maintain mobility while sustaining incoming fire, an option that some people might find appropriate.
The new maps are Vertigo, described as a "small, asymmetrical map" and Pitfall, which is actually a remake of the Halo 3 map the Pit. Of the two Vertigo sounds the most interesting, and promises to include a sort of kill switch that wipes out the shields of any opposition in range. This is described as being secret, but we don't expect that it will require much finding.
Retro fans that miss the old The Pit will be happy though, and they will also enjoy being able to pick up the vintage Halo: Combat Evolved armour. µ
