KOREAN PHONE MAKER Samsung showed off its Galaxy S4 Zoom smartphone at its Galaxy and Ativ Premier event in London on Thursday, and we got a little hands-on time with the chunky device.
As its name and profile suggest, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is all about its huge rear-facing camera, which weighs in at 16MP. Although it adds a fair bit of heft to the device, Samsung claims that the camera can capture images on a par with professional cameras, thanks to its Xenon flash, optical image stablisation and 10x optical zoom.
Beyond the camera, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is essentially a mid-range Android smartphone, featuring a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a 4.3in qHD AMOLED display, a 1.9MP front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage and a 2,330mAh battery. µ
