CARTOON PIG Peppa has had her Facebook account overtaken by miscreants and used to abuse children and post garbage.
The pig, who will be well known to under ten year olds, is on Facebook with the Peppa Pig World. Why we don't know, but someone has put it to use as a hacked gag webpage.
The pig is housed at the Paultons Park in Hampshire, and it is on that outfit's Facebook page that the hack is made clear. Before then people must have just assumed that the pig had been at the brandy, or something.
"Unfortunately the Peppa Pig World Facebook page has been hacked by an unknown source. We are currently working with Facebook and doing everything we can to resolve the issue, thank you for your continued understanding," it said in a statement.
"Although we are not responsible for this we apologise for what is frustratingly out of our control. Please bear with us and we will continue to update you on the situation."
A visit to the official Peppa Pig page is disappointing. It looks like the people in control of the account are happy to post up click bait and odd photos.
Users are not happy and are responding to the posts with abuse and complaints. Most of the posts are just images and a request for Likes. It is a strange affair, but then, as far as we know, so is an anthropomorphic pig society.
The pig and its admins appear to have been locked out for at least two days. µ
