TAIWANESE PHONE MAKER HTC's flagship smartphone the HTC One laughed in the face of delay rumours today, having arrived on the Three network in the UK.
Three, which also kicked off its Samsung Galaxy S4 preorders today, is offering the HTC One in silver. The handset can be picked up for free on a 24 month £35 tariff, making it slightly cheaper than its Galaxy S4 rival. This tariff sets up the phone with 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited data each month.
Alternatively, buyers can opt for The One Plan instead, which offers a bumper 2,000 minutes, or they can pick up the HTC One on Three pay as you go for £479.99.
The HTC One's arrivial on Three comes just a day after online retailer Clove admitted that it was struggling to get its hands on stock of the smartphone, sparking talk of further delays.
An HTC spokesperson told The INQUIRER on Thursday that different retailers might offer different release dates, though, and the company promised that the handsets will start rolling out to various operators and networks this week.
This is good news for both buyers and HTC, which is hoping to attract punters before the Galaxy S4 hits the shelves. It certainly has the specifications sheet to do so, as in our HTC One vs Samsung Galaxy S4 specs comparison the HTC One came out on top for its design and screen, thanks to its aluminum chassis and 4.7in HD 1080p touchscreen display.
The HTC One also features a 4MP Ultrapixel camera, Beats Audio sound technology, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.
