GAMES HOUSE Ubisoft has announced the next sequel to its Assassin's Creed game series.

For the uninitiated, Assassin's Creed is a sidle up and slice first person murder video game. All of its previous releases have been good and if anyone is holding their breath now for the release of number four in the series they will be dead by the time it comes out.

November is the month that you are going to need to split up with your significant other and kick their yogurt out of the fridge and replace it with energy drinks, for that is the month when the game will be released.

We don't like spoilers here, so we will tread lightly through what we know.

What we know is that the game is called Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. It has nothing to do with Henry Rollins but you will get to play a British chap called Edward Kenway, who, having served in the Royal Navy, fancies the lifestyle of eye patches and parrots, that is, a pirate's life.

Expect swashes to be buckled, buckles to be swashed, barrels to contain rum and a dash of lashes.

"With the new hero and new setting we are creating the boldest and most unique Assassin's Creed game yet, while still respecting the pillars of the franchise that have made it such a fan favorite," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

"Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is based on a true, harsh and exciting part of a legendary era and will thrill longtime fans and newcomers alike."

The game will be available on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii U and PCs on 1 November, 2013 in the UK. µ
