BUBBLY UK MOBILE OPERATOR O2 has slashed the price of the Nokia Lumia 620 to just £119.99 on pay as you go, offering a £30 savings on the budget Windows Phone 8 smartphone.

O2 said the price cut is for one day only, so those who want a cheap Nokia Lumia 620 will have to act fast to get the smartphone for £120. In our Nokia Lumia 620 review we called the handset the best budget smartphone on the market - and we said that when it was priced at £150.

In terms of specifications the Nokia Lumia 620 punches above its weight. It features a 3.8in 800x400 WVGA Clearblack screen and a dual-core 1GHz processor. It runs Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system.

There's also a 5MP rear-facing camera with HD 720p video, a VGA front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 72GB via microSD card and a 1,300mAh battery.

The phone's main selling point however is its interchangeable battery covers, which are available in black, white, blue, pink, yellow and green.

It's unclear whether those who have already picked up the phone on O2 will get a refund, but given that the cut price deal is for 24 hours only, that seems unlikely. We've contacted O2 for clarification.

The Nokia Lumia 620 can be picked up from the O2 Shop now. µ
