TAIWANESE PHONE MAKER HTC's mid-range 4G phone, the HTC One SV started shipping in the UK today.
Announced last month, the HTC One SV is the firm's second UK bound 4G handset, following in the footsteps of the HTC One XL. Unfortunately it's not quite as high-end as its predecessor, sporting a lesser 4.3in 480x800 S-LCD2 touchscreen, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Google's now dated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Still, considering its mid-range price, it's not a bad phone. There's also a 5MP rear-facing camera with f/2.0 sensor, a 1.6MP front-facing video call camera, integrated Beats Audio sound technology, up to 32GB of expandable storage and, of course, 4G LTE connectivity.
UK retailer Unlocked Mobiles started shipping the HTC One SV handset today, albeit one day later than originally expected. The handset is priced at £329.98 SIM-free, but if you want to make the most of its 4G capabilities you'll need to pair it with an EE SIM.
Thankfully, the 4G network offers a bunch of SIM-only plans. They aren't very wallet friendly though, as prices start at £21 a month for 500MB of data. Alternatively, you can choose to cough up £26 a month for 1GB, £31 a month for 3GB, £36 a month for 5GB and £41 a month for 8GB of monthly data usage. µ
