It is much more important to know what sort of patient has a disease than what sort of disease a patient has - Sir William Osler
LAS VEGAS: CHINESE PHONE MAKER ZTE announced its latest flagship Android smartphone today, the long rumoured ZTE Grand S.
Proving the firm is eyeing up Samsung and Apple, the ZTE Grand S is one of the first smartphones to boast a 5in 1920x1080p HD display.
What's even more impressive is that the phone measures just 6.3mm thick, putting the similarly sized Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to shame. Despite this streamlined casing, ZTE has still managed to squeeze in a powerful 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM and Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system, which is skinned with ZTE's custom user interface.
Outed as the Chinese firm's most high-end smartphone to date, the Grand S also has a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 1,780mAh battery. There's support for LTE connectivity too, and ZTE told The INQUIRER that it will support EE's 4G network here in the UK.
The ZTE Grand S will be available in a number of different colours, including black, white and red, although the handset's UK availability and pricing are still to be announced.
