SMARTPHONE DESIGNER Google's Android 4.2 Jelly Bean flagship smartphone, the Nexus 4 has sold out in the UK once again.
At the Google Play store, both the 8GB and 16GB models of the LG-built Nexus 4 smartphone are now showing as sold out, just two weeks after Google received more stock. Before selling out, delivery time had slipped to "6-7 weeks".
Google tells us that this is because it has seen massive demand for the Nexus 4, not surprisingly given the handset's low price. Google seems to have got away with this lack of stock lightly though, as we can't help but think that if Apple ran out of Iphone 5 handsets so quickly the world would be up in arms about it.
If you're desperate to get your mitts on a Nexus 4 in time for Christmas, it's also available through O2 and Three. However, it isn't as cheap there as Google's pricing, so it could be worth waiting for the internet giant to get more Nexus 4 handsets in stock in the UK.
It's still unclear when Google will receive its next batch though, and we're guessing that it might not be before Christmas. µ
