FINNISH PHONE MAKER Nokia's latest Windows Phone 8 handset went up for preorder today in the UK, courtesy of retailer Unlocked Mobiles.
It's just as cheap as we were expecting, as the retailer has slapped the budget Windows Phone with a £174.98 price tag. There's no word on a release date yet, but the retailer tells us it's expecting stock to arrive towards the end of January.
A sub-£175 price tag is impressive considering the Nokia Lumia 620's specifications. As well as the latest version of Microsoft's mobile operating system, the handset - which was unveiled at Le Web'12 early this month - features a 3.8in 480x800 Clearblack touchscreen and a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
However, the handset's main selling point, according to Nokia, is its different coloured "dual-shot" casing.
"Dual-shot adds a second layer of coloured, transparent or translucent polycarbonate on top of a base layer to produce secondary colour blends and depth effects," it said at the handset's launch.
The Nokia Lumia 620 also features a 5MP rear-facing camera, a VGA front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage and a 1,300mAh battery. µ
