ONETIME FUGITIVE John McAfee has had a brief stay in hospital thanks to stress and exhaustion, but is now back in a Guatemalan jail.
There were worries that the antivirus pioneer had a heart attack, but it seems that rather it was hypertension that got the better of him.
No surprise perhaps, since for the last couple of weeks he has been on the lam, and for the last couple of days has been drinking strong Guatamalan coffee in detention.
McAfee has been hiding and blogging for a fortnight now, but seems to have come unstuck thanks to a photograph.
That photograph, published in Vice Magazine, showed his GPS location. McAfee revealed his location shortly afterwards and requested asylum. Unfortunately for him, however, he was pinched by the Guatamalan police and taken into custody.
It was while in custody yesterday that McAfee was hospitalised and his blog said that "news agencies are reporting that John McAfee has been taken to a Guatemala City hospital after suffering a possible heart attack".
