UK MOBILE OPERATOR Three started selling the HTC Windows Phone 8S today.
Three is selling the HTC Windows Phone 8S in blue, and it's available now from its online store. The handset trumps the Nokia Lumia 820 in terms of pricing, as it's available for free from £17 a month, a tariff which comes with 100 minutes, 5,000 texts and 250MB of monthly data.
We'd recommend upping this to a 24 month £21 contract though, as this comes with 300 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited monthly data.
If you fancy avoiding a lengthy contract altogether, Three is also selling the phone on pay as you go for £179.99 when bought with a £15 top up.
Sylvia Chind, head of Devices at Three said, "The [HTC Windows Phone] 8S offers great all-round performance and coupled with our straightforward and affordable plans with no surprise out of bundle data charges, you'll be able to enjoy the best experience on Three".
Just shy of £180 isn't a bad price for the HTC Windows Phone 8S, especially when you consider that Nokia's Lumia 820 costs £200 more. The handset features a 4in WVGA touchscreen with a 1GHz dual-core processor and Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system.
There's also built-in Beats Audio software, a 5MP rear-facing camera with HD video, a 1,700mAh battery and 4GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
