GAMES COMPANY Rockstar will release a 10 year anniversary edition of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on 6 December.
Rockstar is working towards the 2013 launch of Grand Theft Auto V, but has also put some effort into the 10 year anniversary edition of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City gave players the freedom of a massive open-world in one of the most iconic and vibrant settings ever realised in a game," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games in October.
"It was a defining moment in the series and we're delighted to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a stunning, updated version for phones and tablets."
The game celebrated its anniversary at the end of October and will be released, again on 6 December. Rockstar has released the list of supported phones and tablets and it is pretty extensive. Apple IOS devices including the Ipad, Iphone 4, Iphone 4S and Iphone 5, Ipod Touch 4th and 5th generation are all supported as are many Android phones and tablets.
Both Apple and Android versions will cost less than a fiver and players are promised an instantly recognisable but enhanced copy of the game that they played a decade ago. Expect better rendered characters, a souped up aiming system and support for Retina displays.
Rockstar said that a new video clip trailer will be released before the game comes out. µ
