CONSOLE GAME Halo 4 is already proving a winner and is now leading the charts as a top selling Xbox 360 title.
Halo 4 is unique to the Xbox and has been developed by 343 Industries. In the week after it was released it made its way to the top of the games charts, knocking off Assassin's Creed on its way.
It had a good launch, but not as good as its predecessor, Halo 3, which sold more copies on its release than this new version.
Halo 3 was developed by Bungie, of course, which created Halo in the first place, and slower sales of the new title might be down to some scepticism about how well 343 Industries would carry the baton that it was handed.
Still, according to figures from chart trackers GFK Halo 4 sold more copies than Assassin's Creed on both the Xbox and the PS3.
Halo 4 is the 18th biggest release for the Xbox 360, according to GFK, while Halo 3 was its 15th.
This week 343 Industries released the second Spartan Ops package, a sort of cooperative soap opera for people who like their gaming to come in installments. Halo 4 Spartan Ops: Episode Two gives users five new gameplay missions. µ
