THE WINDOWS PHONE 8 POWERED Nokia Lumia 920 will be available to buy SIM free in the UK from tomorrow, 13 November, online phone shop Clove has announced.
Up until now, the Nokia Lumia 920 has only been available on EE's pricey 4G tariffs, much to the dismay of INQUIRER readers.
One reader, for example, complained, "Was waiting for 3 months for a Lumia 920 as I am a big Windows fan, but if only available with expensive 4G contract [then] I will be buying an Iphone 5 on a 3G contract next week. Have Nokia and Windows shot [themselves] in the foot?"
However, from tomorrow, customers will be able to buy the phone in white from SIM free handset retailer Clove for £520.
This means that buyers will no longer have to sign up to an expensive 24 month EE contract to get their mitts on the Nokia Lumia 920, which will work with any microSIM if picked up SIM free. Of course, it can also be paired with a SIM only plan from 4G network EE, although the network announced on Friday that these have been delayed for two weeks.
