NUMERICAL MOBILE OPERATOR Three has started selling the Sony Xperia J smartphone one month later than originally promised.
The Sony Xperia J is already showing on Three's online store, where it can be picked up on a dirt cheap £13 contact, although this comes with a mere 50 minutes, 500 texts and 250MB of data. Bump this up by a tenner a month and the Sony Xperia J will come with a more reasonable 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and all you can eat monthly data.
Three is also offering the phone on pay as you go for £149.99, cheaper than rival network O2's price of £169.99.
Announced at IFA back in August, the Xperia J offers a cheap alternative to Sony's flagship Xperia T smartphone. It's not that bad for the price, boasting a 4in 480x854 touchscreen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
There's also a 5MP rear-facing camera, a VGA video calling camera, 4GB of internal storage expandable to 32GB via microSD card and a 1,750mAh battery.
Sylvia Chind, head of Devices at Three said, "The Sony Xperia J is ideal for style conscious social media fans and its 5 megapixel camera is perfect for Instagramming and sharing pictures on the go.
"With the added benefit of straightforward plans with no surprise out of bundle data charges, you'll be able to enjoy the best experience on Three." µ
