MUSIC STREAMING SERVICE Spotify has updated its IOS app to add support for the Iphone 5.
Up until now Spotify's Iphone app has remained optimised for Apple's 3.5in smartphones of old. Thankfully, the music streaming service bumped its Spotify app for IOS to version 0.5.8, bringing in support for the larger 4in screen of the Iphone 5.
Gone are the black bars filling the gaps around the app as Spotify now takes up the entire screen on Apple's latest smartphone, albeit two months since the phone was released.
It seems Spotify that has been too busy updating it's Iphone app to realise that Windows Phone 8 has been released, however, as the Spotify app is still not showing up on our Lumia 920. It doesn't look like it'll appear in the Windows Store any time soon either, as a Spotify spokesperson told The INQUIRER that it did not yet have a timeframe for the app's release.
The Spotify app for IOS is available to download free from the Itunes App Store, although you'll need to pay for a Spotify subscription to make the most out of the app. µ
