Says shoppers are suckers

US TELEVISION HOST Jimmy Kimmel has returned to one of his favoured subjects, spoofing Apple ads, and he has delivered a zinger.

The last time we saw Kimmel he was convincing people that an Ipod was an Ipad Mini. Before then he was telling them that an Iphone 4 was an Iphone 5. And people on the street fell for both gags.

His Apple parodies are becoming something of a regular occurrence, and his latest is our favourite.

The clip has the look and feel of an Apple advert and takes watchers through a tour of its hardware. There we learn that Apple has a history of releasing the same thing, just in bigger, taller, faster, smaller, wider, or whiter versions.

It's a fun parody and you can get an idea of the creator's views by his comments that it is a "paperweight" and that anyone who queues up for one in New York deserves "a punch in the throat".

The punchline comes at the end, of course. "We're Apple," it says, "and you're suckers."

Whether that is true or not, we can't say for sure, but Apple recently said that last weekend alone it sold three million Ipads. So go figure. µ
